A man has criticised Dover District Council’s running of a housing scheme after his neighbour was found dead.
It is thought that the body Vince Stupple, 65, could have been in his flat in St Monica’s, in Folkestone Road, Dover, for a week before it was discovered.
Neighbour and friend Keith Langsford
raised the alarm on Friday after not seeing Mr Stupple for several days.
Mr Langsford said: “What annoys me is that we don’t see anyone from the council from one end of the month to the next.”
Council spokesman Michelle Traylor said there was no permanent warden at St Monica’s because it was not a designated sheltered scheme.
Residents have devices which alert a careline, and then care staff will phone or visit.
She added: “This property is a scheme where the aim is independent living.”
