A man in his 70s was killed in a two car crash on the A2 this morning, police have confirmed.
Three others are being treated in hospital following the collision on the A2 Jubilee Way in Dover.
Emergency services were called to the road at 9.40am after a black VW and a purple Audi collided.
Despite the efforts of paramedics, a man in his 70s was sadly declared dead at the scene.
Three other people were taken to a London hospital, where they are receiving treatment.
The extent of their injuries is not currently known.
The road is currently closed in both directions to allow for crash investigation work to take place, causing congestion to the A258 as people look for an alternative route into and out of Dover.
Kent Police's Serious Collision Investigation Unit (SCIU) are carrying out enquiries into the incident and are urging anyone who saw what happened or who has relevant dashcam footage to get in touch.
