Man found dead in car park of former The Living Well Church in Lydden, near Dover

Police are investigating after a man was found dead in the car park of a former church.

Officers were called to Canterbury Road, Lydden, near Dover at about 6.40am this morning.

Police say the death of the man, aged in his 60s, is currently “unexplained”.

KentOnline understands that the body was found in the car park of the closed Living Well Church in the village.

A police spokesman said: “At around 6.40am on Saturday, September 23, Kent Police was called to a report of an unexplained death in Canterbury Road, Dover.

“Officers attended alongside South East Coast Ambulance Service and Kent Fire and Rescue Service, where a man in his 60s was found deceased.

“His next of kin is aware and an investigation is ongoing to establish the circumstances surrounding the incident.”
