A man who sped away from police despite a wheel falling off his car has been jailed.
Anthonie Denham from Dover had a young child in the car while he crashed into a kurb, hit a parked car and narrowly avoided hitting a school bus.
The 29-year-old admitted dangerous driving, driving while disqualified and failing to have insurance.
He has been jailed for 18 months and banned from driving for three years and five months.
Canterbury Crown Court heard how Denham, of Beaconsfield Road, sped away after police signalled for him to stop his car.
Police followed Denham and witnessed him narrowly avoid a collision with a school bus before losing control, crashing into the kerb and hitting a parked car.
Despite one of the wheels falling off, he continued driving, failing to stop at a junction.
He came to a stop a short while later.
Officers located a young child who had been in the car throughout.
Denham acknowledged he was attempting to evade police and was driving in a dangerous manner.
Investigating Officer Ben Hibbert said: "Denham was driving so dangerously it is fortunate no one was seriously injured or killed.
"His reckless actions not only put himself in danger but all of the members of the public tin the area at the time and his very young passenger who thankfully was unharmed."
