London man killed in Dover hit-and-run

Police are searching for a driver after a man died following a hit and run last night.

Emergency services were called to Crabble Hill, Dover, at around 9.39pm.

They were responding to reports that a man had been seriously injured.

Tragically, the victim, a 59-year-old man from south-east London, was pronounced dead at the scene.

Officers from Kent Police's Serious Collision Investigation Unit (SCIU) believe a grey Ford Focus collided with the man, who was a pedestrian.

The vehicle was not at the scene when police arrived.

It is reported that officers hve been making door-ro-door enquiries asking residents if they have CCTV footage.
