A manhunt has been launched after an armed police were called to a house last night.

Firearms officers and the police helicopter were drafted in to help police find a man in Dover.

The hunt was started after officers received reports of an assault in Tower Hamlets road at around 6.53pm.

A man reportedly assaulted a woman and damaged her vehicle.

The suspect was no longer at the property when armed officers attended the scene.

It is believed that the man and the woman are known to each other.

The suspect has yet to be located and police say "enquires are ongoing".
