POLICE have confirmed that a man found dead near the White Cliffs Business Park at Whitfield, near Dover, was murder suspect Neil Fraser.
Mr Fraser, 34, had been missing since his wife, Michelle, was found strangled at the couple's home in Cedar Terrace, Dover, on March 8 in front of one of their four children.
Mr Fraser was the main suspect. His body was found on land behind a car sales business. It is thought the body had been there for some time - possibly since the date of the murder. A post mortem examination carried out on Thursday failed to reveal the cause of death. Further enquiries are continuing.
After the discovery of the body, Det Chief Inspector Chris Hogden, who has been leading the inquiry, said: "This is a real tragedy. Four children have been left without a mother or father, and our sympathy goes out to the children and to both families.
“It is hard to imagine what they have been going through over the last few months. I can confirm that we are not looking for anyone else in connection with Mrs Fraser’s death.
“The facts about her death and that of Mr Fraser will now be reported to the coroner.”
After Neil Fraser's disappearance, Michelle's father, Mick Denyer, made appeals in newspapers and on television for him to come forward.
