Seven migrants have been rescued off the Kent coast in an operation between the coastguard and Border Force officials.
The operation happened overnight in waters near Dover after the group were found in a small dinghy.
HM Coastguard and the RNLI intercepted the boat before a Border Force vessel was deployed.
The migrants, who said they were Iranian, were brought ashore and given a medical assessment but did no require treatment.
They will be interviewed shortly by immigration officials.
Earlier, the coastguard would only confirm it had been dispatched to help Border Force officials with an "incident".
