Woman stunned to see cloud shaped like angel above English Channel in Dover

A mum captured a “stunning” and “beautiful” likeness of an angel in the morning sky today.

Kelly White was with her daughter when she spotted the unusual cloud formation, backlit by the sun, over the English Channel at around 7.15am.

When asked whether she has ever seen anything like it before, she replied: “No, nothing.”

Ms White, who lives in Dover, told KentOnline: “I was walking my daughter to school and I was like ‘oh my god’.

“My little girl said ‘it’s an angel mum’ and I said ‘yes, it looks like one’.”

Others appeared to be equally in awe of what they saw.

Speaking online, one person commented: “It definitely looks like an angel.”

Others described the picture, taken from St Radigund’s Road, as “stunning” and “beautiful”.

Just last night, skygazers were able to see another unusual phenomenon.

Several people spotted a mysterious spiral illuminating the skies for around five minutes, before disappearing.

Today it was confirmed the object was likely debris from Elon Musk’s latest SpaceX launch, which happened in Florida a few hours beforehand.
