A Dover postman has brightened the day of locked down householders this morning by donning his favourite fancy dress outfit.
KM Group advertising rep Claire Hall took this picture of 'Paul the Postie' and said: "When the door bangs and you guess its probably the postman... and you open the door to find him dressed like this!
"What a legend! He's made my day!"
According to Miss Hall, the Royal Mail employee has been delivering post to the Melbourne Avenue area for years, and after today's shenanigans, she's sure he's "the best postman ever."
The mum to Tommy, four, added: "He was pretty surprised yesterday when I opened the door dressed as a pirate - so today he thought he'd join in the fun."
And as this morning's temperature in Dover reached 18 degrees in parts she thinks his commitment to switching his shorts for a winter onesie is even more impressive.
"He did the whole round like it, he must be roasting," she said.
So if anyone sees him pacing through Buckland in his PJs today, don't be scared to give him a wave and say Kentonline made him famous.
Oh yes, And if anyone was in any doubt - that's not his real hair!
A Royal Mail Spokesperson said: “Over the last few weeks we have been inundated with messages and pictures from our customers across the country in praise of the extra lengths our postmen and women have been going - during the coronavirus crisis to raise spirits, and money for local charities.
"We know that local communities really value what our postmen and women are doing in these challenging times, and we’re really proud of them, too”.
