A new series featuring Harry Potter star Tom Felton is coming to Kent for filming.
Camera crews will be descending on Dover next Thursday to film the drama, which is being produced by a major streaming service.
Named Gandhi, it follows the early life of the Indian activist Mahatma Gandhi including his time studying in London and working as a lawyer.
Filming has already begun in the capital.
Felton, who played Harry Potter’s school rival Draco Malfoy in the hit film series, is cast in the new show as Josiah Oldfield, one of the founders of the Vegetarian Society of London, which Gandhi chances upon when visiting a vegetarian restaurant.
An urgent casting plea has been launched for Dover locals to star in the new show as paid extras.
Agents are looking for people of all ethnicities, ages and genders but particularly people of South Asian descent.
All applicants must be aged 17 or over, have a valid National Insurance number and be legally allowed to work in the UK.
Anyone interested in a role should visit agents Casting Collective's website and those wishing to apply should aim to do so by Sunday, May 19.
It is not the first time Dover has appeared on screen.
In 2022, intrigue was peaked when horses, fire and drones were spotted at the famous castle for the shooting for a period drama.
Kevin and Perry Go Large featured there in 2000 and the 2015 superhero showing Avengers: Age of Ultron also made use of the landmark.
In the first Johnny English film, released in 2003, the port can be spotted towards the end of the film, where Rowan Atkinson travels to France to try to put a stop to villain Pascal Sauvage's plans.
Back in 1971, Sean Connery’s James Bond flick Diamonds Are Forever used the port for the scene where Bond outwits diamond smuggler Peter Franks at passport control.
