A newly married couple were left horrified after footage revealed their wedding videographer insulted guests on their special day.
Folkestone-based film-maker James David has apologised after sending Lois Ghost-Adderley and her husband Lee the shocking video.
In the clip - which unsurprisingly did not make the final, edited package - he is heard referring to guests as "f****** m****".
His behaviour only came to light after he sent the raw footage to the couple a year after the wedding at Faversham's Brenley Farm.
They had tied the knot at the countryside setting in August 2021 and received their wedding video shortly afterwards, but were not completely happy with the £1,600 package they had ordered.
"We booked the company quite last minute, but we received the video back very quickly," explained Mrs Ghost-Adderley, who lives in Shepherdswell.
"I had some niggles [about the film] as a lot of the footage was of plus-ones and very little of my family.
"That said, we were still very happy after our wedding celebrations and I didn't want to rock the boat, so we didn't complain."
Just over a year later, in October 2022, the couple, then expecting their first child, were contacted by Mr David to let them know he would be deleting their video off a sharing website – commonplace for many videographers.
The couple jumped at the chance to request a very important clip that had been missing from the original footage.
"He messaged us to check if we would like to download anything before he took the footage down, so we took it as an opportunity to ask if he had the footage from our first dance that included the original audio," Mrs Ghost-Adderley said.
"He said he did, and could in fact send us all raw footage for an additional £100. We had already paid £1,600 for his services and felt like this was a bit steep, but it meant a lot to us to have this footage so we agreed."
After receiving the footage shortly before the birth of their daughter, the couple say they finally managed to watch it last week.
"One delightful video jumped out to us, which is of our friends and family," Mr Adderley explained.
"You can hear James in the background stating to his girlfriend/photographer 'What is wrong with these people? F****** m****', in relation to our wedding guests."
The insulting word is a highly derogatory term associated with the abuse of people with an intellectual disability.
Mr Adderley continued: "It does leave a sour taste in the mouth when we look back at everything now. He has not apologised but blocked us from all his social media."
Mr David is the managing director of James David Films, which lists its head office as The Esplanade in Folkestone.
"Unfortunately these things happen – little slips happen and I must take responsibility; there's not much more I can do..."
According to popular wedding website Hitched.co.uk, he has worked for celebrities including Ed Sheeran, Big Narstie, Eastenders star Shane Ritchie and Loose Women host Coleen Nolan.
When approached for comment, Mr James said he would be reaching out to the couple to "resolve the situation."
"Unfortunately these things happen – little slips happen and I must take responsibility; there's not much more I can do," he added.
"I will be moving forward with my team; my guys will be getting in contact to resolve the situation.
"We can only apologise and take responsibility. We will be sending a letter of apology in the next couple of days and dealing with the matter privately."
