A bubble tea shop is set to become a town's first when it opens later this month.
The businesswoman behind Bubble Tea Base which is expected to move into Dover has even surprised herself in bringing the craze to the town.
The family-run store in Church Street was launched by Surabhi Ziarek, who also owns Momo Hub in Dover, says she never imagined she would be opening a bubble tea café.
"It is very exciting," she said. "I am a local in Dover and I wanted to open something different because we seem to have a lot of the same sort of things.
"I thought why not bubble tea because it is trending at the moment and we do not have anywhere which offers it.
"When I saw this unit I could see bubble tea in it so I thought why not go for it.
"As a business owner, Momo Hub is unique too, I like trying new things."
Mrs Ziarek has run her other business for almost four years and says she did not expect to open a second business.
"I come from a family who has never had businesses before so when I stepped into this segment, I never thought it would go so well with Momo Hub," she said.
"It is fantastic, everyone is so supportive. I never thought I would open a bubble tea café ever.
"The cost of living crisis has affected us but I was really up for opening the bubble tea café because I think it will do well because it is really popular at the moment.
"It just felt like the right time to open this sort of business because it is affordable."
The 33-year-old says the café is very Asian inspired and will be offering oriental bao buns.
"There are lots of cafés around Dover which offer the same thing so I wanted to be really different and be unique," she said.
"We will offer sweet and savoury bao buns, milkshakes, blooming tea, and cakes.
"Blooming tea is Japanese and a lot of my friends have tried and tested it and they say it is really refreshing.
Bubble tea is very popular among the younger generation so Mrs Ziarek has considered this when decorating the cafe.
"Every table has its own Insta wall so it will be a good place to get a social media picture," she said.
"We did a lot of decorating inside and it is very children orientated, our logo is a panda so you will see lots of pandas and flowers inside.
"My 10-year-old son Matty, is very excited because he thought of the name and the logo.
"He also thought of the hashtag for it which is #BTB to try and get it trending. He is also going to help me and probably give out flyers and testers.
"We are really happy."
Bubble Tea Base will be open Monday to Sunday from April 10.
