The RNLI Dover lifeboat rescued a man and a boy cut off from the tide this afternoon.
It is understood the pair were walking along the western part of Shakespeare beach when they became stranded.
The boat was launched at 1.15pm.
They were brought back to the station just before 2pm where paramedics conducted medical checks.
Coxswain Rob Archibald said: "They must have been there for about three to four hours, they were freezing."
The pair did not need to be taken to hospital.
