A student from River was thrilled to mingle with the stars at the Grimsby premiere in London's Leicester Square on Monday.

Perry O’Bree, 22, Dove Lea Gardens in River attended the premiere which is based on the latest comedy character to come from actor Sacha Baron Cohen.

On the red carpet with his dad Michael, the pair got to meet comedian Johnny Vegas, actress Isla Fisher, actor Mark Strong, and Royal Family TV star Ricky Tomlinson for a series of selfies.

The lavish premiere and champagne treatment was all thanks to Sony Pictures UK.

He said: “It was absolutely hilarious and had the audience in fits of laughter. I also had the pleasure of meeting the whole cast on the red carpet and I even had the lucky opportunity of being able to pose for a selfie with them all.

“I had a great chat to all of them and in particular with Isla Fisher [Sacha’s wife] who specifically asked me ‘do you think it will do well’ and I said yes.”

"One particular scene with an elephant had the audience cringing but laughing at how crazy and ridiculous it was which was made even funnier by seeing everyone's reactions in the audience."
