A teenager has been injured after a man was spotted wielding a machete in a town centre.
Police say they were called to a "disturbance" near Dover High Street just after 2.30pm.
A 19-year-old from Dover was taken to hospital with a head injury, and arrested on suspicion of assault.
A 20-year-old man, also from the town, was arrested on suspicion of assault.
They have since been released on bail to return to the police station on 10 November.
It is not thought the machete was used in the alleged attack.
Police and ambulance crews were called to the scene, but have since left.
A police spokesman said: "Police were called to a disturbance in Maison Dieu Place in Dover at 2.37pm following reports a man was seen with a machete.
"Two men have been arrested and are currently in custody."
An ambulance service spokesman added: "We responded to reports of an assault in Maison Dieu Place shortly before 3pm.
"A 19-year-old man was assessed at the scene and has been taken to William Harvey Hospital with an injury to his head."
