Playing a gig a Stone's throw from you...

Kent-born singer Joss Stone is playing in Kent tonight.

The international vocalist is playing at Dover Town Hall, with another concert at Castle Community College in Deal tomorrow.

"I’ve decided to play some shows at home – come along, we’ll have a laugh," said Joss, who was born at Buckland Hospital in Dover, and attended Brambley Hedge Children's Centre and St Mary’s Primary School.

The family lived in Albert Road before moving from Dover to Devon when she was eight.

She shot to fame after being featured on the television talent show Junior Star For The Night when she was 14.

Joss spends much of her time in America, although she visits Dover from time to time to see her grandparents, aunts, uncles and cousins.

Joss says she will be singing some of her new songs from the album Colour Me Free, which is yet to be released, as well as some favourites from previous albums.
