A man reported missing from London and believed to be in Dover has been found.

Alexander Craig from Brentford, west London, was last thought to have been in the Union Street area of the town near the Western Docks, this morning.

A Kent Police spokesman said: "Officers are concerned for his welfare and would like to hear from anyone who sees him or knows where he is."

A large scale search was carried out for the 70-year-old and it was later confirmed he had been located safe and well.

Officers thanked the public for sharing their appeal.
