Police were called to Folkestone Road yesterday after a man was found bleeding and drowsy.
Paramedics who were treating him made the call at 4.30pm as they suspected he had been assaulted.
A police spokesman said: “No allegation was made. The man stated he hadn’t eaten, was drowsy and had fainted. It’s believed his injury was caused by a fall.”
South East Coast Ambulance treated the man, approximately 18-years-old, at the scene and gave him advice.
A spokesman said: "He did not require hospital treatment."
