Police chased down a suspected thief after a number of power tools were stolen in Dover.

Officers were on patrol in Marine Parade on Friday when they were flagged down and alerted to a burglary in Waterloo Crescent.

They searched the premises before chasing a suspect on foot.

A 39-year-old man from Dover was arrested and since been released under investigation.

The missing tools were recovered nearby and returned to the victim.
