A man has been arrested on suspicion of dangerous and drug driving after being tracked down by a police dog (PD).
Officers were called to Northbourne Avenue in Dover after receiving calls a car was being driven dangerously at 9pm yesterday (Monday).
After reportedly failing to stop for police, the driver was pursued for 30 minutes via Archer’s Court Road, Townwall Street and Church Hill before entering Eythorne.
The driver then allegedly drove onto a field in Barfrestone Road before abandoning the car and fleeing the scene on foot.
Officers were assisted by PD Yankee who helped track down the man after picking up track through the field.
A 32-year-old from Folkestone was arrested on suspicion of dangerous driving, failing to stop and criminal damage, after crops and fencing had been damaged.
The man also tested positive for cocaine and was further arrested for drug driving.
Enquiries are ongoing.
