Residents are being warned to keep their homes secure after three burglaries in four nights.
The first two happened over last Sunday to Monday in Buckland Avenue and Ashen Tree Lane in Dover.
The third was again overnight, discovered yesterday morning in Lower Road, River.
Electrical items were stolen in all three cases.
Insp Stuart Norris from the Dover Community Safety Unit, said: “At the moment we are not necessarily linking these burglaries but we would like to hear from anyone who saw anything suspicious in these areas during those times.
“We do believe that thieves accessed properties via open windows and urge people to keep their homes as secure as possible.
“Always check doors and windows are locked, even in hot weather, and that security alarms and lights are in place wherever possible.”
Insp Norris said that since the break-ins officers have been visiting residents to provide reassurance and offer crime prevention advice.
This includes keeping doors and windows closed when away from the property or overnight, using timers for lights and keeping a look out for anything suspicious.
Property can also be marked as thieves are less likely to take items they know can be traced and difficult to sell on.
Keeping a record of valuable items and taking photographs of them can also help recover them if they are stolen.
