A primary school in Whitfield has re-opened despite fears it would be closed today (Tuesday) because of a power cut.
The Whitfield Aspen School, in Mayfield Road, went into blackout which also meant the heating wasn't working.
Engineers worked overnight in a bid to resolve the problem.
Head teacher Jason Cook released a statement yesterday informing parents of the likely closure of the school.
But an update this morning reads: "Sorry for unexpected delay in late message but heating had to be tested.
"The mainschool is open for all staff and student, but Aspen is closed."
