PARTS of Dover have been affected by a power-but today. It happened at about 12.30pm and more than a thousand homes and businesses are believed to be affected.

One report has suggested it was caused when a pylon exploded in the Guston area of the town on the outskirts of Dover.

Engineers are working to rectify the fault.
