Hundreds of residents in Dover woke up to no power on Sunday morning.
Elms Vale Road, Tower Hamlets, Markland Road and Reading Road were all without electric from around 7am.
Louise Graham-Welton posted a warning on Facebook for those who were just waking up and hadn't realised.
She said: "I don't know how far spread it is and most people won't even be aware as yet. My little lady woke up went to put her TV on and nothing. The lady at UK Power Networks said they have engineers on their way and it's hoping it's back on by 10am but no promises."
UK Power Networks confirmed this was due to a fault on a high-voltage underground electricity cable, which saw 818 customers experience a power cut.
Engineers restored supplies to 238 customers by 8.37am and later in the morning the 580 customers saw their power back on.
A spokesman said: "We appreciate how difficult it can be to lose power and would like to apologise for the inconvenience caused by this incident."
