The number of left and right wing protesters convicted of violence during the Dover riots in January two years ago has now reached 63.
The latest is 23-year-old Omar Awad, who was caught on CCTV throwing a brick and brawling in the street.
Masked Awad was also spotted taking part in a left-wing attack on rival protesters during the day-long attacks which brought Dover town centre to a standstill.
Prosecutor Tony Prosser told Canterbury Crown Court that former media student Awad – who left university with 2:1 degree in 2015 – had joined a group of rioters who clashed with right-wingers.
Kent Police detectives reviewed hundreds of hours of footage captured on the day and shared images of those involved with other forces across the UK.
One of the officers was on duty at a separate march in Brighton on Saturday, April 23 2016 when he noticed Awad standing just a few feet away from him.
He was arrested and later charged with violent disorder.
Awad, who had denied the charge, was convicted by a jury and jailed for 18 months.
Judge Simon James heard that in April 2016, he received a police caution after admitting damaging the window of a truck carrying supporters of the English Defence League.
He told Awad that what happened in Dover "during this ugly incident wasn’t about politics and principles but about hate and violence," and deterrent sentences were called for.
“The scenes in Dover were reminiscent of darker times," he added.
Protesters have received more than 85 years in total for their part in the rioting. One more person will be sentenced in a couple of weeks.
After the hearing, Detective Inspector Bill Thornton said: "More than two years have passed since Omar Awad and other protesters came to Dover but the violence they brought with them is still fresh in the memory and will not be forgotten.
"Their actions were completely unacceptable and it is only right that so many of those involved on the day have been ordered to serve time in prison.
"I am very proud of my team of detectives who painstakingly pored through hundreds of hours of footage to ensure those responsible were identified and brought to justice.
"They deserve to face the consequences of their actions, which caused a great deal of anger among those forced to experience such ugly scenes."
