A man has been given a 10-year jail term after carrying out two rapes and assaults.
Lee Regan, 26, was told his behaviour had been “appalling” and that he posed a danger to women.
Regan, of Reading Road, Dover, admitted nine charges including witness intimidation when he appeared at Canterbury Crown Court.
Prosecutor Kieran Brand told how police had been called to a Dover address after a man was seen trying to smash his way into the property.
His victim revealed how during the attack, drunken Regan ripped off her nightie and threw her around the room.
During the rapes, she was struck by Regan who had snatched away her phone.
The thug then threw her jewellery out of the bedroom window – before the victim managed to escape.
Later, Regan went to the Crown and Anchor pub in Elms Vale, Dover.
He was described by drinkers in the pub as "being hysterical, crying and asking for people to buy him a drink".
The court heard that after being given money, he later returned to the pub and began abusing drinkers.
The landlord ushered him outside and minutes later, a window at the pub was smashed.
Regan was spotted running away but was caught by the landlord and walked back to the pub, where he was arrested by police.
He was given an immediate jail sentence of eight years and the judge ordered he serve another two on licence when he is released.
