The Port of Dover Regatta is back for the first time in three years.
It had to be cancelled in the previous two summers because of the pandemic but now it returns to the Seafront and Harbour on Saturday, August 6.
The free event attracts thousands of people and has a range of water and shoreside activities and entertainment as well as food and drink stands.
More will be held this time on the new Marina Curve development.
As in previous years the event will support a chosen charity.
Further details on this and the full range of activities on offer will be announced in the coming weeks.
Doug Bannister, Chief Executive of the Port of Dover, said: “The three years since the last Regatta have included challenging times for all and we know that this has been a much-missed event by the community.
"We are thrilled to be working with Destination Dover on this, as part of a new and evolving events calendar, and we look forward to seeing this free event back on the Seafront as we all come together once again.”
The last Port of Dover Regatta was on August 4, 2019 and included boat and raft races and music from acts such as the Swingtime Sweethearts.
Diederik Smet, destination manager at Destination Dover, said: “We look forward to bringing this flagship event back to Dover together with the Port. Anyone who would like to participate with stalls, activities, entertainment, food and drink should contact us."
