PARTS of Dover town centre which were closed off today because of a gas leak have been re-opened again.

Fire crews and police were called to the former Legends nightclub building in New Street this afternoon following reports that gas was leaking at the building.

The area was cordoned off as gas engineers investigated the incident. They found gas was leaking from an external pipe, which was isolated and capped by the engineers, and the roads were re-opened.
