A new takeaway offering roast dinners inside a giant Yorkshire pudding is set to open.
Dover Roasting Board will replace rotisserie chicken outlet, Peckish, on Biggin Street in the town.
It will be run by the same team, Neil Maynard and wife Nadine, who chose to make the tough decision to close Peckish after the "shop didn’t work".
But they are now looking forward to their new venture - with roast chicken and beef on the menu, alongside veg and gravy, all sitting inside a Yorkshire.
Vegetarian options are also proposed, as well as sweet options.
Mr Maynard said: “Sunday roast is something that we have done with Peckish, and it has always been our most popular day. By far.
“We always wanted to experiment with other things, other foods, but obviously with the Peckish rotisserie chicken brand we were very limited in our scope.”
The couple, who also run a food truck and the Deal branch of Peckish, are aiming to open the new shop in December.
"It will certainly be a soft launch,” Mr Maynard added.
“We will be looking to build from the ground up, taking it steady and doing things right this time.
“We are hoping to open a week from Sunday with a limited menu.
"Having to close down our Dover branch of Peckish was tough, but we are determined to learn from it and come back stronger than ever."
A statement on Peckish's Facebook said: "As previously mentioned, we are working on the tentatively titled 'Dover Roasting Board'.
"Let us know your thoughts on this roast dinner in a giant Yorkshire.
"We’ll have a range of menu and pricing options, and clearly defined opening times, which hopefully address some of the problems we faced previously.
"As we develop the idea, we’ll add other fillings - sausage and mash, chilli con carne, custard and Nutella - who knows…?
"One of our biggest problems was lack of awareness, so please help us out with a like and share, and follow the page Dover Roasting Board and we’ll be publishing more details very soon!"
