DOVER Rowing Club stage their annual Coast Amateur Rowing Association regatta on Saturday (July 9) with racing starting at 10am.
The ten clubs will be competing will be Southsea, Shoreham, Worthing, Eastbourne, Bexhill, Hastings, Folkestone, Deal, Herne Bay, and Dover.
A barbecue will be running throughout the day, and spectators will be able to watch about 25 races, starting from the rowing club’s headquarters, on the beach at the western end of the harbour.
Club press officer Chris Price said: “All the races have been sponsored by local companies and individuals, and our thanks go to Dover Harbour Board, Dover District Council, Dover Water Sports Centre and Dover Lifeguard Club for the help they have given to enable the event to run.
“Feel free to come down and watch some very competitive racing and see what rowing is all about.”
