From battling booze to setting up a wrestling club - one former homeless man has scored a knockout comeback.

Miami Marcs' life was on the ropes when he had problems with drink, drugs and mental health.

Now he is now setting up a business venture in Dover.

Entrepreneur Miami, 46 of St David's Avenue in Aycliffe, plans to have his business Porky's Male-Female Wrestling Team touring the UK from January.

It would see his comedy wrestling show touring clubs around the country for around two years promoting his Porky's club and restaurant club.

He hopes to eventually open up a chic nightclub and steak house restaurant in Dover at the end of the tour after building up interest and memberships.

Mr Marcs was living on the streets in Canterbury before being taken in by homeless charity Porchlight, formerly known as Cyrenians, four years ago.

After more than two years on the streets Porchlight found Mr Marcs a home in Dover and ever since he has focused on turning his business dream into a reality.

"I have had the idea for years and years and now I am over the moon I am finally making it happen" said Mr Marcs.

"I have attracted four investors who are investing a total of £5 million and now I am just looking for staff to eventually work in my club and restaurant when they open."

"This project has taken me many years to get to this stage with all the market research I have done across the country.

"I just cannot wait to get started and gather interest for my brand before turning it into memberships for my club and restaurant in Dover."
