Three girls were taken ill at a school amid fears some pupils had taken drugs.
Police attended the Dover Christ Church Academy this morning and said that three girls had been taken ill.
Management at the Whitfield site said they were worried a small group may be under the influence.
A statement on the school’s website said today: “This morning we became suspicious that a small group of students were under the influence of drugs.
“We therefore took preventative action, by calling the emergency services, to ensure the safety of those concerned.
“After a thorough investigation we are confident that the matter has been resolved.”
The Mercury contacted the Melbourne Avenue secondary school, which was formerly Archers Court.
It said there was no further comment beyond the website statement.
A police spokesman said: "Kent Police were called at 11.28am Tuesday, January 30, concerning a medical incident at a school in Dover.
“Officers attended the school in Melbourne Avenue to support the South East Coast Ambulance Service where three girls had fallen ill.
“The girls were advised to attend a local hospital as a precaution.”
South East Coast Ambulance Service said that it had sent one crew to the scene but they had since left.
