Work is progressing with the creation of a brand new community.
Richmond Park in Whitfield will have its own primary school, doctor's surgery and convenience store.
And now two three bedroomed show houses can be viewed by househunters in person from this weekend.
Barratt Homes will construct a total 264 two, three and four bedroom homes on the site, with some still due to be built in a rolling programme
The next phase of properties is scheduled to be launched between July and September, with the development set to fully complete in 2025.
Barratt Homes launched the development in January.
The homes are eco-friendly, so include energy efficient boilers and high levels of insulation.
They are for both first time buyers and those changing properties.
But all could be bought through the government-backed Help to Buy scheme, which is only for first timers.
Help yo Buy, which asks for just a 5% deposit, has existed since this April.
It has regional price caps, which in Kent is £437,600.
The three bedroomed houses at Richmond Park start from £309,995.
"No two house buyers are the same."
One of the two show homes is a Maidstone style house.
It has a modern open plan layout with the lounge leading into a kitchen diner to the rear, where French doors open into the garden.
The other is a Moresby style one, which has an alternative layout, with a dual-aspect lounge and a separate hallway leading to the kitchen, with three bedrooms upstairs.
Natalie Perry, sales and marketing director at Barratt Kent, said: “Much like no two buyers are the same, the Maidstone and Moresby both demonstrate how the classic three-bedroomed home can reflect the lifestyle of its owners.
"That's whether they want to make the most of large open plan family spaces, or need a quiet retreat to work from home."
In-person viewings of these show homes are available from Saturday.
