Work startied this week to build a new play area.
It is designed for children up to 14, wiill be at the Triangles Community Centre in Dover and will include a range of play equipment.
There will also be a picnic area together with outdoor gym equipment, suitable for all ages and abilities.
Local people got the chance to choose the design for the centre, in St Radigund's in January in a consultation by Dover District Council, aided by East Kent Housing.
The council.has appointed Wicksteed Leisure Limited to carry out the work, which began on Monday.
The authority says that this is part of its work to continue to develop play area provisions across the district.
This has also included new-look play areas in North Deal Playing Field, William Pitt Avenue and Wilson Avenue in Deal.
The same has happened at The Butts in Sandwich and Colton Crescent and Aycliffe in Dover.
For more information on the final designs for all these sites see the play area pages or email propertyservices@dover.gov.uk.
