Two teenagers have been arrested in connection with a vicious alleged robbery that took place in Worthington Street on Tuesday.
It was reported that a mobile phone was taken during an incident at 3pm that saw a man in his twenties suffer injuries to his face.
He was taken to an east Kent hospital for treatment.
A 15-year-old boy and a 17-year-old boy, both from Dover, have been arrested on suspicion of robbery.
They remain in police custody.
Det Insp Bill Thornton said: "We are dedicated to keeping Dover a safe place to live and a swift response from officers who have a good knowledge of the area, ensured arrests were made within an hour of the offence being reported."
