Journalist and broadcaster Gavin Esler will give a talk on Brexit in frontline Dover
The author of the book Brexit Without the B***s**t will speak at Biggin Hall in Biggin Street from 6.30pm on Wednesday, August 28
The talk will be followed by a question and answer session with the audience.
This is to discuss what east Kent can expect if there is a no-deal departure.
The talk is organised by the campaign group EU.Thinking Dover +Deal.
It has pressed since 2016, the year of the Brexit referendum, for the least worst outcome for the UK and Dover district.
It believes that leaving with no deal on October 31 would damage East Kent. and wants a people's vote with an option to remain.
Mr Esler is best know as presenter for the flagship BBC news programme Newsnight, from 2002 until 2014, and is currently Chancellor of the University of Kent.
He has hosted a series of discussions at the Astor Community Theatre in Deal called Gavin Esler in Conversation With.
He met Guardian journalist Polly Toynbee there in September 2017 and former Labour leader Neil Kinnock in March 2018.
Mr Esler's talk in Biggin Hall is free but you need to book a place by emailing e.u.thinking.dealdover@gmail.com
