Two people taken to hospital after a crash in Honeywood Parkway in Whitfield

A man and a woman have been taken to hospital after a crash near Tesco in Whitfield last night.

Emergency services were called at 7.45pm to a two-car collision in Honeywood Parkway.

A man in his 50s was suffering from chest injuries and a woman in her 40s with pelvic pain.

They were both treated at the scene by two ambulance crews before being taken to William Harvey Hospital for further care.

A spokesman for Kent Police said: "We were called to a report of a two vehicle collision at 7.46pm on Tuesday, February 2. SECAmb also attended.

"We enforced a road closure to allow a woman to be treated by ambulance crews.

"An oil spill was also cleared.

"The road had re-opened at 11.22pm."
