Officers at the Port of Dover have recovered two men from the back of a lorry.

The discovery was made this morning, with both persons found the be "safe and well".

They have since been handed over to Border Force.

Kent Police Tactical Operations tweeted about the incident.

@KPTacOps said: "#PTT1 in #Dover in relation to persons within a lorry trailer.

"Research conducted and vehicle was quickly located, persons safe and well. Assistance provided by @UKBorder & @portdoverpolice"

A police spokesman said: "Two men were located and handed over to Border Force."
