TWO people are being held in Spain in connection with the death of a Kent ex-pat whose body was never found.

Francis Ottley, 56, lived in Dover until 2003 before travelling to Spain in a motor home and touring the country.

Police in Spain have arrested 32-year-old Lorna MacDonald, who's originally from Glasgow but now lives in Madrid, and George White, who's English but now lives in La Linea.

Stuart Martin, 29, of Bramble Way, Hollingbury, Brighton, Sussex, is already due to stand trial for Mr Ottley's murder in July.

Friends became concerned about Mr Ottley after receiving a letter from an ex-patriot living in the La Linea area in April 2005.

Kent Police were alerted because the letter writer said Mr Ottley had not been seen since February 2005.

Police concluded from enquiries conducted with the full co-operation of Spanish authorities that Mr Ottley had been killed.
