Dramatic footage shows the moment two people were rescued after getting into difficulty in a dinghy in rough seas.
The coastguard helicopter came to the pair's aid after they became stranded on a pier in Dover.
The video shows the two sea-goers trapped on a ledge below the main walkway on the Admiralty Pier in Shakespeare Bay.
Carrying an inflatable dinghy, coats and bags, they are hemmed in by violent waves on the small stretch of concrete.
It is believed that the two were in the dinghy when the seas became rougher, with the waves forcing their inflatable craft onto the pier.
Coastguard rescue teams from Dover and Deal attended along with Kent Police and the Walmer Lifeboat yesterday.
The Coastguard rescue helicopter from Lydd was called, and managed to winch both men off the pier about an hour after emergency services were first called.
A coastguard spokesman said: "HM Coastguard was alerted at about 1.20pm yesterday to two people who had been caught by the tide at Shakespeare Bay, Dover.
"Coastguard teams coordinated the response, sending Deal and Langdon Battery coastguard rescue teams, Walmer RNLI lifeboat and the HM Coastguard helicopter from Lydd.
"The two were winched by the helicopter to safety."
Neither of the men are believed to have needed medical treatment.
