The White Cliffs of Dover have been voted one of the most naturally stunning places in the UK.
The British landmark has been voted number three in a National Express poll revealing the most beautiful areas in the country.
The UKs largest coach operator polled 1,000 people to discover Britain’s most stunning places in a bid to inspire people with spring travel ideas, including for the Bank Holiday on Monday, May 2.
National Express managing director Tom Stables said: “It’s hard to think of any natural landmark more quintessentially British than the White Cliffs of Dover – they are truly stunning.
He added: “From wondrous waterfalls to incredible rock formations there’s no shortage of places in the UK to surprise and delight but sometimes it can be easy to miss out on the marvels at our own front door. We hope our list will inspire people to get exploring the amazing natural sights right here in the UK.”
Number one on the list is the Peak District hills, the Jurassic Coast in Dorset came in number two, with The White Cliffs of Dover achieving third place.
