MP for Rochester and Strood, Mark Reckless, set to hold public meeting at Crabble Corn Mill in Dover

Ukip MP for Rochester and Strood Mark Reckless is set to tell Dover residents why he left the Conservatives in a public meeting.

Mr Reckless has been the MP for the north Kent area since the last election in 2010.

But in September last year he announced resignation from the Tories and his plan to join Ukip.

After a by-election he was re-elected as the MP.

The meeting takes place this Friday at the Crabble Corn Mill in Lower Road, River at 5pm.

Ukip parliamentary candidate for Dover and Deal David Little will also be in attendance.

Mr Little said: “Come along and meet Mark and listen to why he left the Conservatives.”
