A full house is expected at the grand launch of Dover's latest bingo.
Buzz Bingo opens in the town centre tonight (Thursday) and a major VIP party with ribbon cutting takes place at the venue in Biggin Street on Saturday afternoon.
The company, which claims to be Britain’s biggest bingo company, has rebranded from Gala Bingo.
The Dover store is one of the last to take on that brand and staff are inviting locals to join in the celebrations at Saturday's event.
Local player Jean MacFarlane will cut the ribbon on what will be her 93rd birthday. She is the oldest member of the club which she visits at least twice a week.
Members will have the chance to play for a £500 mega draw prize.
The launch comes as new research reveals people in the South of England enjoy the camaraderie of bingo and play to combat loneliness.
Chris Matthews, CEO at Buzz Bingo said: “Bingo appeals to people of all ages, from all walks of life. It’s a fun, safe, judgement-free night out with games, dinner and drinks, all for less than £20. We designed Buzz Bingo clubs to make socialising and being part of a local community easy, and research shows that Bingo players are more likely to have a positive outlook on life than others. Our colleagues are friendly, fun and supportive, and always delighted to help you have a great night out with friends and family.”
The launch is on Saturday at 1.30pm at Biggin Street, Dover.
Was an ex Gala Bingo club. Gala leisure has rebranded as Buzz Bingo.
