A woman was forced to hand over £200 in Cherry Tree Avenue this afternoon by heartless thieves.

Police were called to the scene at 1pm where the victim told them that two men had demanded the money from her, and she handed it over.

A Kent Police spokesman said: "Officers carried out an area search but no-one matching the descriptions of the suspects were found."

The police are continuing to make inquiries.
