A woman has been found dead near a cliff.

Emergency services were called to the area surrounding South Foreland Lighthouse in St Margarets Bay, Dover at around 3.15pm yesterday.

Police had received reports of concern for a woman and were joined by the coastguard and air ambulance.

On arrival, crews found the body of a woman in her 30s.

The woman’s next of kin have been notified.

Officers have said the death is not being treated as suspicious, and a report will now be prepared for the coroner.
