Lauren Avery and Demi Douglas due to go to crown court after drugs and imitation firearm case, Dover

Two young women charged with drugs and imitation firearm offences are remanded in custody.

Following a short pursuit, the vehicle was found nearby, having collided with a fence near Malvern Road, just around the corner.

Lauren Avery was charged with possession of class A and class B drugs, and a psychoactive substance, all with intent to supply.

She was also charged with possession of an imitation firearm, dangerous driving, failing to stop, driving without insurance and driving without the correct licence.

Demi Douglas was charged with possession of class A and class B drugs, and a psychoactive substance, all with intent to supply. She was also charged with possession of an imitation firearm.

The arrests were on February 21 and the pair appeared before Folkestone magistrates two days later when they were remanded.

The case of Avery, 25, of Temple Ewell, was committed to Canterbury Crown Court for sentence on a date and at a time to be fixed. She was given an interim driving disqualification.

The case of Douglas, 19, of The Linces, Dover, was sent for trial to the same court provisionally for March 29.
