DOVER Athletic Supporters' Trust are holding their first birthday party tonight (Thursday) at the Centre Spot.

The last year has seen major changes at the club on and off the pitch and the trust, which now play a crucial role in the running of the club, are holding a free event to say thank you to their members for all their support.

The evening, which starts at 7.30pm, will see a disco and free buffet provided, plus a chance to discuss with club directors and players how their continued support is still needed to get the club back on to a sure financial level.

Club director John Farringdon commented: "We hope to see as many trust members as possible. They helped the club in its darkest hour and this is a thank you for the last year.

"However, there is still a long way to go before we are sure of survival. This event will allow us to talk to our members and deliver our aims and goals for next year."
