DOVER'S run of three straight home wins came to an end, but they played their part in an entertaining match that was a fine advertisement for Conference football.
After weathering early Dover pressure, Yeovil snatched the lead after 14 minutes when Carl Alford converted Nick Crittenden's low cross. And it was Crittenden again who supplied the cross for Chris Giles to make it 2-0 on the half hour.
Dover eventually got the goal they deserved just before the break when John Elliott fired home from a pass by Jamie Day, but they were unable to break through again in the second half and Yeovil went closest when Giles' shot struck the inside of a post.
