Dover's players, management and supporters are celebrating their survival in the National League.

Whites looked doomed for relegation after winning just once in 14 games - a run that led to manager Chris Kinnear being sacked.

But Dover chairman Jim Parmenter lured former boss Andy Hessenthaler to Crabble from league rivals Eastleigh and he has masterminded an amazing turnaround in form.

Under Hessenthaler, Dover have taken an impressive 44 points from 28 games.

They won 3-2 at Barrow on Saturday, after being 2-0 down at one stage, to move 12 points clear of the drop zone with three matches remaining.

Dover midfielder Jai Reason tweeted: "The great escape!!!!! We have been in a relegation fight from day 1 and we done it! Lads have dug in all season what a effort from everyone! Up the whites"

Striker Alfie Pavey posted a video of the squad celebrating their survival in the dressing room after the win at Barrow.

First team coach Darren Hare tweeted: "Wow what can I say... players, staff, supporters, the chairman and board. Job done - unbelievable feeling"

Kevin Lokko and Lee Worgan were also among the players to post their thoughts on Twitter.
